Feast for the Elderly
On 14th August 2026, Vidiyal organized a special gathering for the elderly at the Vidiyal Main Centre, Jaihindpuram, as part of its community-based intervention. The programme brought together elderly members of the community for a day of companionship, celebration, and care. A special feast was served, followed by the distribution of essential kits as a gesture of support and appreciation.
The gathering became especially lively when the elderly took centre stage with their own cultural performances. They enthusiastically presented kummiattam and sang songs, filling the programme with energy and happiness. Their active participation turned the gathering into a celebration rather than simply a support initiative. The programme highlighted the importance of creating spaces where the elderly can participate, express themselves, and enjoy meaningful community connections. Through such efforts, Vidiyal continues to strengthen community bonds and promote dignity and inclusion across generations.
