Picnics & Outings – 9th August 2026

As part of Sakthi-Vidiyal’s approach to learning beyond the classroom, Picnics and Outings were organized for children across all age groups on 9th August 2026. Each group visited places suited to their age and learning needs, combining recreation with exposure and experiential learning.

The Beginner group visited Tirumalai Nayakkar Palace, while the Primary group visited the Meenakshi Amman Temple. The Junior group explored Alagar Kovil, and the Intermediate group visited the Rockfort and Grand Anicut in Trichy.

The Senior group had an extensive exposure visit to different industrial and traditional work settings, including Aavin, Madura Coats, and small-scale enterprises involved in weaving, oil making, vessel making, woodwork, stone carving, and banana wholesale. These visits enabled children to observe different occupations, understand how products are made, and learn about livelihoods beyond what they encounter in classrooms.

At Sakthi-Vidiyal, such outings are an important part of learning, giving children opportunities to explore, observe, experience, and understand the world beyond their regular classes.
