Experiential Learning Visits
As part of Vidiyal’s experiential learning approach, children participated in Learning Through Seeing, where each age group visited a place related to their stage of learning. These visits provided children with opportunities to observe, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge beyond the classroom.
The visits included:
Beginner – Mattuthavani Flower Market
Primary – Ice Cream Factory
Junior – Soda Making Company
Intermediate – Post Office
Senior – Tuticorin Harbour
The objective of these visits was to help children learn through direct observation, understand how different places and systems function, and connect classroom learning with real-life experiences. Children actively interacted with resource persons, explored the working environment, and gained valuable insights into various occupations, industries, and public services.
Educational Exposure Visits remain an important part of Vidiyal’s child development programme, nurturing informed, confident, and lifelong learners through meaningful real-world experiences.
