Media Day 2026 – Imagine, Include, Inspire
Sakthi-Vidiyal facilitated Media Day 2026 on 26th August 2026 with the theme “Imagine, Include, Inspire,” providing children with an opportunity to explore the creative and transformative world of media and digital media. The day began with an opening ceremony attended by the chief guest, Dr. S. Nagarathinam, Head of the Department of Communication, Madurai Kamaraj University. Children were also recognized with prizes for the media competitions announced ahead of the event.
Following the opening, children participated in age-appropriate, hands-on sessions including 3D glasses making and viewing a 3D movie, hologram making, short film making, camera obscura making, AI song creation, vlog making, props making, and learning the basics of filmmaking. The sessions encouraged children to experiment, create, and understand how media technologies work.
The day was facilitated by Mr. Jesley Priyadharshan, Mr. Ganesan, Mr. K. Janarthanan, Ms. Jeyasri, Ms. Santhiya, Mr. Yogesh, Mr. Senthil Murugan, Mr. Hari Prasath, and Mr. Marimuthu, with the support of other staff and volunteers.
Media Day was organized to equip children with knowledge, creativity, and practical exposure to media and digital technologies. As the world continues to evolve rapidly through digital media, the programme encouraged children to understand, engage with, and creatively use the media around them.
