Children’s Outreach Programme: Learning Through Service
Service is one of the core values nurtured through the Vidiyal Child Rights Movement. Every year, children from the Children’s Forums plan and participate in outreach programmes that encourage empathy, social responsibility, and meaningful community engagement.
On 26th July 2026, children visited four institutions in and around Madurai—New Creations, Inba Illam, Christian Seva Sangam, and Undu Uraivida School. During their visits, the children spent quality time interacting with the residents, organized cultural performances, participated in campus clean-up activities, and shared essential items and donations collected through their collective efforts.
The outreach programme gave children an opportunity to move beyond classrooms and experience the joy of serving others. Through these interactions, they learned the importance of compassion, dignity, inclusion, and building meaningful relationships with people from different backgrounds.
The day reinforced Vidiyal’s belief that children are not just beneficiaries of change—they are active contributors to building a more caring and compassionate society through acts of service and solidarity.
