Orientation Programme for New Volunteers – 2026
Sakthi–Vidiyal organized a two-day Orientation Programme for new volunteers on 24th and 25th July 2026. The programme welcomed young people who had grown through the Vidiyal Child Rights Movement and had now stepped into their new role as volunteers after joining college.
The orientation covered personality development, volunteerism, roles and responsibilities, expectations of volunteers and the organization, code of conduct, professional boundaries, child safeguarding, and opportunities for year-long internships.
The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Jesley Priyadharshan, Dr. C. Jim Jesudoss, Mr. D. Arockiam, Mr. Anil Godwin Kumar, Dr. Sharmila Jim, Mr. Chandran, Ms. Palaneeswari, and Ms. Jeyasri, who guided the participants through interactive discussions, activities, and reflection exercises.
The programme equipped the new volunteers with the knowledge, values, and confidence required to begin their journey of serving children and communities through Sakthi–Vidiyal with commitment, responsibility, and professionalism.
