Career Guidance Workshop – 17th April 2025 | Empowering Children to Choose Their Path
Sakthi Vidiyal conducted an engaging Career Guidance Workshop facilitated by Mr. Jesley Priyadharshan, focusing on helping children make thoughtful and informed career choices.
The session began with a blindfold activity, powerfully illustrating how people often follow others without questioning, like a herd. This led to a discussion on the importance of choosing careers that truly match one’s personality, interests, and strengths. Another activity highlighted a key life lesson: although everyone may start at the same point, not everyone reaches the same level. Some may struggle due to lack of proper learning, planning, or discipline.
The session emphasized that without the right combination of skill, knowledge, and attitude, one may begin a journey but may not grow. It reinforced the idea that opportunities may come to many, but growth comes only to those who consistently prepare and work towards their goals.
Children actively participated in self-assessment exercises, reflecting on their abilities and identifying suitable career paths. The session concluded with an inspiring quote by Pelé, highlighting that success requires sacrifice and dedication.
Children left the session with clarity, motivation, and a stronger sense of direction for their future.
