Poonjolai Camp 2026 – Break Free from Your Chains, Rise into Freedom
From 28th September to 2nd October 2026, Sakthi–Vidiyal organised its five-day residential Poonjolai Camp in Yercaud, bringing together 99 children for a journey of reflection, learning, and exploration.
Under the theme “Break Free from Your Chains, Rise into Freedom,” the camp encouraged children to reflect on the influences that shape their thoughts, choices, and behaviour. Through sessions facilitated by staff and volunteers, children explored the impact of cinema on their thinking, social media addiction, superstitions and rituals, and peer pressure. The sessions created opportunities for children to question everyday influences, think critically, and recognise the importance of making conscious choices.
Alongside the learning sessions, children enjoyed a range of recreational and experiential activities, including a boat ride on the lake, a visit to Deer Park, clay pot cooking, chocolate making, a cultural night, and a campfire. These experiences fostered teamwork, creativity, friendship, and joyful memories.
Poonjolai Camp provided children with a space to learn, question, discover, and reflect on what it means to break free from limiting influences and make independent, informed choices.
