SERVICE CAMP – Semmanarai Tribal Village, The Nilgiris
The Ripple Circle of the Vidiyal Child Rights Movement successfully organised a Service Camp at Semmanarai Tribal Village, The Nilgiris on 13th & 14th May 2026, jointly supported by Sakthi–Vidiyal, Madurai and ISLAND Trust, Kotagiri.
A team of 40 members, including 35 children from the Vidiyal Child Rights Movement and 5 staff members, participated in this meaningful initiative. The camp provided children with valuable exposure to community engagement and social responsibility through direct interaction with tribal children and their community.
During the camp, children contributed their time, labour, talents, and skills towards community welfare and development activities. The experience helped them understand the importance of empathy, collective responsibility, and the joy of giving through service.
Vidiyal expresses its heartfelt thanks to Mr. Alphonse Raj and ISLAND Trust for their collaboration and support in making this initiative meaningful and memorable for the children.
